Creative Collaborations with Natural Unruly Forms

Performance and workshop

Saturday 27 September, 11.00-17.00

Venue: University College London
Drop-in event

Did you know that slime likes to eat porridge? Join artist Heather Barnett and microbiologist Simon Park to create your own slime mould 'drawing' as these minute organisms move towards oats in a dish. Slime moulds are stridently independent and unruly and need some discipline and encouragement. Your help is needed!

Heather is an artist and researcher exploring the intersections of art, science and technology, often working in collaboration with non-arts professionals and processes. With interests ranging across medicine, psychology, perception and visualisation, projects have included microbial portraiture, cellular wallpapers, performing cuttlefish and organic edible installations.
