This two-hour guided walk began at the Royal College of Surgeons in Lincoln's Inn Fields and ended with an introduction to Wellcome Collection. The tour guide, Richard Barnett of the Wellcome Trust Centre for the History of Medicine at UCL, used institutions and historical characters associated with Holborn, Bloomsbury and St Pancras to tell the story of medicine in London in the last two-and-a-half centuries.
