Lampshades, Curtains, Atoms and Insects

Saturday 21 June, 15.00-16.30
The work of the Festival Pattern Group in 'From Atoms to Patterns' is an extraordinary example of how science can influence design. We'll cast our eyes back over the last 100 years to see how science has inspired interior design, and consider the work of Timorous Beasties as a contemporary example of this practice.
Speaker
Paul Simmons, designer and co-founder of Timorous Beasties.
Facilitator
Penny Sparke, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Arts, Kingston University.
In support of the ' From Atoms to Patterns' exhibition.
