Mary Schoeser on design and science
In this video, Mary Schoeser talks about the designs produced by the Festival Pattern Group and explains the influence that the original exhibition - and science in general - has had on design since 1951.
Mary is a freelance writer and curator specialising in textiles and wallpaper, as well as a senior research fellow at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London. Among her many books are 'World Textiles: A concise history' and, most recently, 'Silk'. Currently she is preparing a monograph on the textile artist, Rozanne Hawksley.
