Much AIDS education material assumes
promiscuity and infidelity to be an ever-present risk and advises
precautionary condom use where possible. In contrast, the message
of this poster is that fidelity between two non-drug-using partners
is an effective method of avoiding HIV. The wording of the poster
refers to a "long-term sexual relationship", but the image of
wedding rings suggests the more traditional institution of
marriage.
