A medical London iPhone walking tour app

Blood, Guts, Brains and Babies is a free iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch app that takes you on a guided walk through the gory history of medicine in and around Bloomsbury.

The app works with the GPS mapping on your phone to lead you through the streets of London, bringing together film, audio and photographs from our archives to take you back in time and bring the rich history of medicine in Bloomsbury to life. The walk is a little over three miles, and takes about two hours to complete.

If you don’t own an iPhone or iPod Touch, you can follow the walk by printing out the PDF version, which comes complete with detailed descriptions and images.

Blood, Guts, Brains and Babies was written, devised and presented by Richard Barnett, and narrated by Dilly Barlow. It is produced by Wellcome Collection and City Stories Walks.
