Sir Paul Nurse is a Nobel Prize-winning cell biologist and the new President of the Royal Society. He is a brilliant geneticist and cell biologist whose ambitions for the future of science exceed the confines of the laboratory. He is also Director and Chief Executive of the new Francis Crick Institute, a major scientific research centre opening in King's Cross in 2015. He spoke to A C Grayling about his illustrious career and his thoughts for the future of science.
