The Brain Observatory
Saturday 5 May 2012, 14.00-15.00

Jacopo Annese, Director of the Brain Observatory at the
University of California, San Diego, collects and studies brains.
However, he sees them not as mere numbered specimens, but as
instruments of personality. He discusses with Claudia Hammond the
famous case of 'HM', whose brain has been crucial in understanding
memory. Annese's Digital Brain Library has great potential for
understanding disease, ageing and many other human concerns.
