Quentin Cooper and Professor Hugh Pennington
discussed the changes brought about by Joseph Lister and his battle
against hospital-acquired infection. The mystery object revealed
during the event was a metal antiseptic (carbolic) spray, with a
pottery handle and glass nozzle, with its own wooden
box.
