workshops and talks exploring the way music is performed, created

The Science of Improvisation
In this session we joined musicians, psychologists and
neuroscientists as they explored how we can apply music to everyday
life.

How can studying bees help us improvise? Swarm Music was an
interactive musical improvisation session using computers.

Does concert programming affect the stress levels of the
performer? Through film, discussion, performance and experiment,
this session gave an insight into the impact that playing has on
musicians’ bodies and minds.
