Peter Donnelly

 

Peter Donnelly is Professor of Statistical Science at the Department of Statistics, University of Oxford, and Director of the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics. With a background in mathematics and statistics, his current work involves the application of statistical principles to genome research in order to address real world problems, such as the genetic basis of disease. He has been involved in a number of large scale projects, such as the International HapMap Project and the Wellcome Trust Case Control Consortium, which investigates genetic contributions to disease through genome-wide association studies.
