Peter Donnelly
Peter Donnelly is Professor of Statistical
Science at the Department of Statistics, University of Oxford, and
Director of the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics. With a
background in mathematics and statistics, his current work involves
the application of statistical principles to genome research in
order to address real world problems, such as the genetic basis of
disease. He has been involved in a number of large scale projects,
such as the International
HapMap Project and the Wellcome Trust Case Control
Consortium, which investigates genetic contributions to disease
through genome-wide association studies.
