75th anniversary exhibition
Free display in the Lightbox, until December 2011

2011 marks the 75th
anniversary of the Wellcome Trust. As part of our calendar of
celebrations, this free display showcases the work of some of the
influential people who have contributed to the living history of
the Trust.
This display features eight people who have
been central in helping us pursue our vision of achieving
extraordinary improvements in human and animal health:
- John Sulston, a key figure
in the Human Genome Project
- Eleanor Maguire, known
for studying the neuroscience of memory in taxi drivers
- Nick White, developer of
the new leading treatment for malaria
- Anne Johnson, pioneer of
the NATSAL sexuality surveys
- Roy Porter, a prolific and
influential historian of medicine
- Henry Foy, who led
research on malaria and other tropical diseases
- Helen and Kate Storey,
the creators of the ‘Primitive Streak’ science–art
project.
To find out more about these key figures, you
can
read their Wellcome Trust stories.
75 comprises illustrative lightboxes
and prints taken from our world-class image library, Wellcome Images.
The exhibition runs until December 2011.
