Breathing In by Angela Palmer
Monday 19 October 2009 - Sunday 22 November 2009

In 2007, Angela Palmer set out to capture the essence of the
dirtiest place on Earth and then the cleanest. The stagnant smog of
the coal-producing city of Linfen, China is a world away from the
serene woodland and blustery Roaring Forties winds of Cape Grim,
Tasmania. Collecting air samples, puddle samples and studying the
effect of the air on her pristine white outfits, Angela’s resulting
work provides a fascinating meditation on our place in extreme
environments.
This art project is free and on display on the
ground floor. See opening hours.
