Alice Thompson
Alice Thompson is an illustrator, recently
graduated from a Masters in Illustration from Camberwell
(University of the Arts, London). Her work has just been selected
for publication under the category ‘New Talent’ in
Images 36, a magazine promoting the best of new British
illustration.
She is currently working freelance and
taking commissions while designing wallpaper and fabrics for
Mitas and co which
plans to launch in March 2012. Current projects also include
illustrations for a
website launching in February 2012. She has also
really enjoyed illustrating the recipes for a cookbook promoting
the charity Walking with the Wounded which will be
published in September 2012.
She is inspired by conversations, travel,
people and narratives and keen to work on book illustration in
future projects. She works mainly in pen and ink and had an
exhibition of illustrations in December 2011, including drawings
for Edward Lear’s Book of Nonsense. She enjoys
collaborating with other creatives and is part of a collective
called ‘Little Drifters'.
