Becki Hiscocks
Becki recently graduated from the University of the Arts, London
with a MA in Illustration. Previously, she spent four years as
an assistant to Damien Hirst, where she worked on projects and
pieces for exhibitions, in particular those involving butterflies
and other insects. Becki has been lecturing in drawing and
illustration since the year 2000.
Her personal work is based on the bizarre and macabre history of
London. As a fan of Peter Ackroyd and with a keen enthusiasm for
psychogeography, she undertakes timed walks across the city.
Documenting her route and buildings of architectural interest, she
researches the past of the streets and landmarks she walks by,
using their narrative to inform her imagery.
