British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreted 'Layman To Shaman' themed tour

Thursday 25 April 2013, 18.00-18.45

‘Layman to Shaman’ brings together some of the more obscure and least understood ritual objects that were originally part of Henry Wellcome’s vast anthropological and medical collection, estimated to have consisted of between 1 and 2 million individual objects. Join this free British Sign Language (BSL) interpreted anthropology-themed tour to find out more about Wellcome’s grand vision, and discover how people in different cultures and times have confronted the universal problems of sickness and disease.

There is no need to book (though spaces are limited). Just meet your guide beside the Information Desk on the ground floor.

Portable induction loops for hearing aid wearers, and portable amplifiers for non-hearing aid wearers are available to borrow for tours, upon request. If you would like to make use of this equipment, would like more information or if you have any other access related enquiries, please email access@wellcomecollection.org or call +44(0)20 7611 2222.
